I am taking some time to .meet up with two friends this evening. Because of one illness, travel plan or other encumbrance, we have not exchanged Christmas presents yet. One of those friends asked me to bring along a copy of my book. She wants it for a friend of hers whose father has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
That got me to thinking about why I wrote the book in the first place. It was for people like the daughter whose Father has just been diagnosed. The book was written as a guide for people who have no idea what is ahead. And what’s more, no one else (read that, the person who made the diagnosis) has given them a clue as to what’s ahead.
If you haven’t already done so, join AlzConnected through the Alzheimer’s website. There is also an Alzheimer’s 24-hour helpline, which I found to be very helpful recently. And, JABA has a caregiver online group.

Gotta run. He looked in our mailbox this morning and when he found it to be empty (because I retrieve the mail last night), he brought in our neighbor’s mail. Back to the mail box.
Patience is key!
Love & hope, Jane
Never a dull moment in your life, Jane. I applaude you!
