This morning I was introduced to the Dementia Action Alliance, an advocacy group for people living with any form of dementia and their caregivers. For the most part, their programs are virtual. The organization has been around for 26 years, and been “zooming” their programs for 10 years.
It would have been very helpful to have discovered this group nine years ago when I started on my solo trip down caregiving lane!
I strongly urge anyone who is living with dementia or caring for a dementia patient to go to their website where you will encounter a wealth of information and support.
www.daanow.org
PS: The organization has not had fundraisers in our area in the past..but that is going to change this holiday season! Stay tuned for more info!
With love and hope,
Jane
